When Leeds had secured another promotion to the Premier League last summer, it didn’t take many days before reports emerged that the club management was thinking hard about getting rid of the manager who had brought them back to the top flight. ‘Daniel Farke still got a little bit of confidence, the optimism with the German at the helm at Elland Road was great. Then the season started, 12 games into the season, Farke understands the Leeds supporters’ football wrath.

Daniel Farke says he understands Leeds United fans’ “anger and disappointment” after losing 2-1 at home to Aston Villa. The pressure is mounting on the Leeds manager after suffering his fifth defeat in his last six Premier League games. Emotions threatened to boil over at Elland Road, when a supporter tried to confront the German during the match.

“Everyone is disappointed. I don’t want a single change in our supporters. I don’t want them to be happy after (that we’ve lost) and give a little applause. We have a very passionate fanbase, and this is what we want – it’s a privilege. I don’t want our supporters to change one percent. They should be angry and disappointed. I feel exactly the same, and then we expect it to be like that. I fully understand this,” Farke said, according to Goal.

A tough coach, no doubt about it, but we still don’t see that Leeds have the leader in the German to survive – and assert themselves in the world’s toughest league. You world that we miss having Marcelo Bielsa on the sidelines at ‘Elland Road. He led Leeds back to the top division in 2019, narrowly finishing 9th in the Premier League 2019/20 season. The next season came the downturn with injuries to key players Phillips, Bamford and captain Liam Cooper. In February 2022, the Leeds management chose to sack their successful coach after losing four games in a row, two points above the relegation zone.

In came and disappeared Jesse Marsch, Javi Gracia, Sam Allardyce. Now it’s Daniel Farke’s turn.

Leeds supporters definitely miss their time with Champion Bielsa.
