It made waves in Germany when Mester Klopp took the job as Global Head of Soccer for Red Bull. When it became known that RB is buying into Leeds, there were also some Liverpool supporters who grumbled. Will their Klopp now guide another English club to success?
Bild reports Klopp will travel around and visit the clubs in the RB portfolio to get an overview of the infrastructures of Red Bull’s clubs. It starts with a trip to Salzburg, then Red Bull’s headquarters in Munich. On January 12, Klopp will be in Leipzig to watch the clash against Werder Bremen, have a meeting with the hard-pressed Leipzig coach Marco Rose. This is how the coming weeks go with trips around to the clubs, where Brazil and California are on the travel plan. In mid-February, Klopp is expected in Tokyo, then to Red Bull’s newest club, Paris FC.
Liverpool fans remember Jürgen Klopp well saying he will never coach another English club. Red Bull is on the ownership side at Leeds, so how does Klopp solve this? He is not a coach, but has the overall responsibility for the RB group’s involvement in Leeds?
According to the German media, Klopp will deliberately steer clear of Leeds, precisely because of his history with Liverpool. This suits the Leeds team well, as the club’s management has already announced that they want to be independent, despite the deal with Red Bull.

We’re guessing Leeds fans would love to have a more active Jürgen Klopp to guide them on their way back to and establishing themselves in the Premier League.
