On 19 February, Leicester brought in Andy King as an assistant coach. The supporters said goodbye to the Leicester player in 2020, after fourteen years at the club. The 36-year-old is the man who has been part of Leicester’s journey to the Premier League – and the historic Premier League title in the 2015/16 season. Now space is cleared in the coaching staff while Ruud van Nistelrooy still keeps his job in the storm.

The last three Premier League games for Leicester have yielded 10 conceded, zero goals and zero points, but Van Nistelrooy continues in the club’s fight for survival in the Premier League. Two of the assistants are not given the same patience, they disappeared on Monday.

Leicester report the club has “terminated the partnership” with assistant coaches Ben Dawson and Danny Alock. The duo joined former head coach Steve Cooper last summer, and stood as substitutes in the one battle between the sacking of Cooper and the hiring of Van Nistelrooy.

With two assistants sacked and club legend Andy King in as a resource, it seems that Ruud van Nistelrooy is still not seen as the club’s main problem in the fight for survival in the world’s toughest league.
