Leroy Sane and Joshua Kimmich have agreed a deal with the same club. The two German stars seem to be very ready to leave Bayern Munich this year.
Bayern Munich stars Leroy Sane and Joshua Kimmich are reportedly set to join the same club in a massive double transfer. – Almost two weeks after the opening of the January transfer window, no major moves have yet been made in the top teams in Europe, with many taking the time to complete their deals late in the window.
German giants Bayern Munich have been linked with several big names so far, including Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold, before his contract expires at the end of the season.
But now the Bundesliga club may have been inflicted with a massive Netherlands as two of their biggest players have reportedly agreed deals to leave the club and join the same club.
According to Spanish outlet El Nacional, both Leroy Sane and Joshua Kimmich have both agreed pre-contract deals to join La Liga giants Barcelona as free agents in the summer.
Both players are entering the final six months of their deals, making them eligible for free transfers from July 1.
And despite interest from several Premier League clubs, it seems that Sane and Kimmich have both decided to join Barcelona and reunite with former manager Hansi Flick, who has enjoyed great success since joining the Spanish club last year.
While playing under the German manager, Sane scored 10 goals and assisted 12 in 44 games.
However, Sane has struggled to replicate this form in the 2024/25 season so far, as he has just five goals and one assist in 19 appearances in all competitions this season.
With that in mind, it could be possible that Bayern Munich feel it might be time to part ways with the 29-year-old, despite initial reports suggesting that they would be keen to extend his stay at the Allianz Arena.
Meanwhile, Kimmich has played more games for Flick than any other manager in his career, playing for the German boss in 74 games during his time at Bayern Munich.
In those games, the midfielder scored 12 goals and assisted 26 more, making him an indispensable part of Flick’s side.
Therefore, it comes as no surprise that several clubs have reportedly expressed interest in signing the 29-year-old if he were to become available for free during the summer, with the latest being Liverpool.
