If there’s one thing Chelsea fans have struggled to digest for far too many seasons, it’s that the club seems to be missing out on goalkeepers – and strikers. The result has been far too many backwards, far too many missed goal chances at the top. On Wednesday, the striker was tapped in who will help solve the problem at the top.

Liam Delap is the 22-year-old who has already cracked the scoring code in the Premier League. 12 league goals for the Premier League’s third-weakest team says everything about his potential. On Wednesday, the striker pulled on the blue Chelsea shirt.

“I grew up watching this club, so I understand how big a club it is and how impressive it has been over the years,” Delap begins to the club’s website.

“I wanted to come here to win trophies. When I spoke to the club, I could feel that everyone had a common goal to get back to the top, they have the qualities and the players to do it. The hunger and the will to always win more trophies and take the club back to where it belongs, that is the most important goal,” says Delap.
