Jarrell Quansah was the player Liverpool didn’t want to sell, but when the 21-year-old pushed for an exit after great success at the Under-21 Euros for England last summer to secure playing time and development, Liverpool opened the door to Bayer Leverkusen’s €35 million bid. Seven months later, the reigning Premier League champions have realised it was a mistake. A mistake they are willing to pay dearly to correct.

Because according to Sky Sports , Liverpool are considering bringing Quansah back to Anfield. A buy-back clause is said to be baked into the contract with Leverkusen, where Liverpool can press the undo button before the end of May.

The buy-back clause is said to be for 80 million euros with an expiry at the end of May, so Liverpool will have to make a decision on the centre-back in the relatively near future. We’re guessing a good number of Liverpool supporters will give the thumbs up to get back the centre-back, brought up at the club, who in his few appearances at Reds and deliveries at Leverkusen shows tremendous potential.
