Now several media outlets are stating that Mohamed Salah could be away from Liverpool for up to ten games during this period.
The dates for the next edition of the Africa Cup of Nations are now set, and the tournament will be held from December 21 this year to January 18 next year in Morocco.
Several British media outlets are now pointing out that Liverpool’s Egyptian star Mohamed Salah could miss up to ten games for the English giants, as this is a tight match period.

When the Africa Cup of Nations was last held in Ivory Coast, Salah missed five games – but then the tournament was played in January and February. Originally, the plan was for this edition to be held in the summer, but it was moved to December-January due to coinciding with the Club World Cup in the USA this summer.
The Premier League’s schedule for next season has not yet been announced, but based on Liverpool’s fixture schedule this season – with the league and all the cups – it could be ten games Salah will have to sit out if Egypt go far in the championship.

In the group stage, Salah’s Egypt will face Zimbabwe, South Africa and Angola.
Several other Premier League clubs also have players who can participate in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.
