Liverpool have been linked with a shocking swap involving a Real Madrid star, just hours after the team’s Champions League quarter-final loss to Paris Saint-Germain.
On Wednesday 8 April, Slot’s team failed to overcome the reigning European champions at a wild Parc des Princes. The Premier League side are down by two goals before the second leg at Anfield next week.

Désiré Doué’s shot via a defender snuck into the net after 11 minutes. The away team struggled to gain a foothold in the game, had only 26 percent possession and failed to register a single shot on goal in 90 minutes.
PSG winger Khvitsha Kvaratskhelia doubled Luis Enrique’s side’s lead after 56 minutes to secure a convincing 2-0 victory, dashing Liverpool’s hopes of securing their seventh European Cup title this season.
Slot chose to start with a back five consisting of Milos Kerkez, Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konaté, Joe Gomez and Jeremie Frimpong. Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher believed that the Liverpool boss was “completely wrong” tactically.
Meanwhile, Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike struggled to create anything positive in the final third on a terrible night for the Merseyside club.
It has since emerged that the club are reportedly working on a swap that could send Mac Allister to Real Madrid, while Eduardo Camavinga could potentially go the opposite way in a shocking swap.
Liverpool have admired the Frenchman for a long time.
Since Álvaro Arbeloa took over as manager of Los Blancos in January, Camavinga has been in and out of the team. He is battling with Jude Bellingham and Aurélien Tchouaméni for a place in the starting eleven. The 23-year-old has also struggled with an ankle injury this season.
According to TeamTalk, Camavinga’s camp is considering their options, which has attracted the attention of Liverpool’s management. The Frenchman’s contract expires in 2029. Arsenal and several Saudi Arabian clubs are also interested in the Real midfielder.
The Spanish giants are reportedly interested in Mac Allister, as well as Manchester City midfielder Rodri, PSG star Vitinha and Chelsea player Enzo Fernández.
The channel also claims that a direct swap between 23-year-old Camavinga and 27-year-old Mac Allister cannot be ruled out at this point, although it remains to be seen whether the clubs will negotiate some sort of monetary amount in the swap.
The Argentine’s current contract with Liverpool runs until 2028. Since arriving from Brighton in 2023, Mac Allister has helped the Reds win a League Cup and the Premier League.
