It was a very quiet summer for Liverpool with only two player acquisitions. Goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili was bought and loaned back to Valencia (coming to Anfield after the season) and Federico Chiesa in a move from Juventus.
Already, the Italian right winger wants to go back to Italy, but not necessarily to his youth club Fiorentina or Juventus.
Chiesa’s summer move to Merseyside did not go as anyone wanted. The Italian has been on the sidelines with injury concerns – and when he has been healthy, playing time has been conspicuous by his absence.
Information has previously abounded that Liverpool are willing to loan the player out in January. Now comes new information regarding the whole thing.
Footmercato writes that Federico Chiesa wants to leave Liverpool – to get more playing time. According to the website, the 27-year-old will be loaned out in January. Clubs that are said to show interest are AC Milan, Napoli and Fiorentina.
In addition, Tutto Atalanta writes that Atalanta wants to go for a loan deal with an option to buy.
Chiesa has played 18 minutes in this year’s edition of the Premier League.
