Liverpool fans loved what Mohamed Salah said when he surprised a girls’ team in Toxteth – now they are demanding that the club give him a 10-year contract.
Salah has yet to extend his current deal with Liverpool, which expires this summer. Michael Owen has revealed what “sources” have told him about the situation.

Scouse moments that won fans
During an unannounced visit to a girls’ soccer team in Toxteth, Salah showed his bond with the city in the most authentic way. When one of the girls asked him a question, he replied with a typical Scouse expression:
– “Wa?”
This simple, local response was an immediate success among the supporters:
- “The Scouse-‘wa after 52 seconds. Give the man a 10-year contract!”
- “Lifetime contract, rather!”
- “A real Scouser.”
Future uncertain
Salah has been linked with Saudi Arabia, after Al Ittihad previously had a monster bid rejected by Liverpool. But fans hope he stays:
- 32 goals in 43 games this season
- Key player under Arne Slot
- On his way to his second Premier League gold
Slot obviously wants to keep him
The Liverpool boss has been clear:
“Everyone wants him, including us. We want an extension – that’s clear.”
– “He is old enough to make smart choices, and always has. I hope he chooses us.”
With Liverpool 12 points ahead of Arsenal in the table, Salah could soon celebrate another triumph – while fans hope his next signing will be on a new Anfield deal.
