Few, if any, understood what made Steven Gerrard leave, not only the ball island, but also the UEFA region of Saudi Arabian desert football. The Liverpool legend persuaded Jordan Henderson to do the same, but the former Liverpool captain realised the mistake after just six months and returned to Europe and Ajax. Now Gerrard is also following suit.
We loved Gerrard as Rangers manager, the same as Aston Villa manager in his first half season. Since 2023, the Englishman has lost his cred and status as a potential Liverpool manager. Sportingly, it has been difficult to say the least for Gerrard, who after the first season received a lot of criticism for the weak 6th place in the league, this season the club is down to 12th place after 17 games.
According to the Daily Record, Marca and The Rangers Review, Steven Gerrard is now done as coach of the Saudi Arabian club.
