Barcelona have not seen a talent like Lamine Yamal since Messi, it is talked about in the stands among Barcelona supporters when the 17-year-old Yamal does his feats on the pitch. This is the player PSG showed they were willing to pay 250 million euros for, but were turned down. The teenager with already 93 senior games in his legs is considered “untouchable” at Barcelona, yet there are two Premier League clubs that refuse to take this as truth.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Liverpool (and Manchester City) still have their eyes on Yamal, with the two clubs following Barcelona’s situation with great interest.

Both Premier League clubs are said to be aware that it will take a lot for the 17-year-old to leave Barcelona, Yamal’s agent Jorge Mendes has previously said his client will extend his contract with Barcelona until 2030.
Still, no signature has been put on paper, Yamal’s contract expires as early as the summer of 2026. With Barcelona’s financial situation and expectations of the teenager to become one of the club’s highest-paid players, something could put a stumbling block to this deal.
If Yamal enters the final year of his contract without having agreed with Barcelona, anything can happen. Liverpool (and City) are ready in that case.
