Arne Slot or Xabi Alonso. The Liverpool management has so far sent signals that the Dutchman has full confidence going into the coming season, while a large proportion of Liverpool supporters do not support this. Now the supporters are protesting, but this time it is not Slot’s “fault”.
This is aimed at the club owners. Liverpool have announced that ticket prices will increase as it becomes more expensive to run the football club. The supporters’ group Spirit of Shankly is not at all happy with that. They have now announced that they are planning more protests.

Among other things, they encourage people not to spend money at Anfield. They also believe that people should wait to renew their season tickets – and it doesn’t stop here.
“This is no longer about dialogue. That opportunity has been squandered. Now it’s all about action. Supporter groups are already organizing a coordinated response. It happens quickly because time is against us, but the direction is quite clear. There will be protests. If the club does not value the fans’ voices, we will make ourselves hard to ignore,” the supporters’ group begins in a lengthy statement.
-We have formally informed the club that action is on the way. Now it is up to all of us to support it. Protests both inside and outside Anfield have been discussed. It is agreed that they must take place, and it will not be limited to one match. There will be action at both home and away games. We start against Fulham at Anfield and escalate from there, it continues.
-More details to follow. But it’s pretty simple, this is going to grow and escalate. It’s not just about prices. It’s all about direction. It’s about what kind of football club Liverpool chooses to be. A club rooted in its people – or one that sees them as a source of income that can be squeezed out year after year. The fans of the future will live with the consequences of what is happening now, writes the supporter group Spirit of Shankly.

This is definitely not something the Liverpool owners can overlook.
