Liverpool could have the opportunity to sell Luis Diaz to Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr this summer, while the Saudi Pro League intensifies their search for world-class players.

At first, many thought that Vinicius Junior was ready to team up with Ronaldo at Al-Nassr, after rumours of a world record bid for the Real Madrid star. But according to TalkSport, the record-breaking offer will instead come from rival club Al-Ahli. (doesn’t matter, all are owned by the royal family anyway)

350 million for Vinicius – what does that mean for Diaz?

Al-Ahli is willing to make a shocking offer of €350 million for Vinicius Junior – a transfer that could change the rules of the game for football in general, and not least for Liverpool. This could open the door for one of their own stars to disappear.

With Ronaldo and Al-Nassr still on the hunt for attacking reinforcements, they have now set their sights on Luis Diaz. Liverpool are said to be willing to let the Colombian winger leave, in what could be a major upheaval of the attacking line.

Liverpool could get “irresistible” bid

  • Diaz has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €70 million.
  • Al-Nassr could make a blank cheque to secure him, there is talk of doubling his value estimate and thus sending 140 million euros to Liverpool.
  • He has just over two years left on his contract at Anfield.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Diaz is the most likely alternative to Vinicius for Al-Nassr, where he could become teammates with compatriot Jhon Durán.

The Vinicius saga can set everything in motion

If the Saudi Pro League has its way, Diaz won’t even be close to becoming the most expensive signing of the summer. The focus is on exploiting the growing tension between Vinicius and Real Madrid’s board of directors to push through a megadeal.

As FootballTransfers have previously revealed, TalkSport now also claims that Vinicius is “achievable” this summer – a transfer that will reverberate throughout the ages.

But with Al-Ahli as a potential buyer for the Brazilian, the door is now open for Luis Diaz to become Ronaldo’s new teammate in an explosive transfer.
