Italian Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has been linked with a move away from the French Ligue 1 club.
Now, manager Luis Enrique has chosen to exclude goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma from the squad ahead of the UEFA Super Cup final against Tottenham on Wednesday.

Donnarumma is not involved in the match in Udine, Italy, on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old goalkeeper, who has a contract with PSG until the summer of 2026, will not take part in the match. Journalist Fabrizio Romano gave an update on social media on Monday evening.
Romano wrote: “Paris Saint-Germain excludes Gigio Donnarumma from the squad for the UEFA Super Cup. Donnarumma will not sign a new deal with PSG – there is no agreement, and he will 100% leave the club either this summer or in 2026 as a free agent. Gigio’s representatives feel that this is an unfair situation for the goalkeeper.”
The Mirror reported at the weekend that the French champions were willing to accept a reduced transfer fee of around £26 million for the Italian goalkeeper, with Manchester United being one of the clubs heavily linked with a potential transfer.
ESPN also claimed that Donnarumma is of interest to Inter Milan, despite his association with city rivals AC Milan.
The goalkeeper was central to PSG’s treble-winning season last year and has made 161 appearances for the French club since joining in 2021.
The news of his exclusion may come as a surprise, as he has previously stated that his priority was to stay at the club.
In June, Donnarumma said, “My priority is to stay at Paris Saint-Germain and sign a new deal. I don’t think there will be any problems.”
