The news comes after it became known that it was Vinicius Junior, and not Kylian Mbappé, who pushed for Xabi Alonso’s sacking from Real Madrid. The shock reports follow closely from the Spanish capital, and now it is claimed that manager legend Jürgen Klopp will get rid of Vinicius Jr if he takes over the charge at Real Madrid. According to rumours, he has already signalled the need for two huge signings to fill the void – one of which will come from Newcastle.

Real Madrid parted ways with Xabi Alonso earlier this week, and Alvaro Arbeloa took over on an interim basis until the end of the season.
The search for a new permanent manager in the summer is underway, and Jürgen Klopp is widely admired at the Bernabeu. Nevertheless, Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg insists that Klopp will give “serious consideration” to taking over at Madrid if they make contact.

According to the latest rumours from Spain, Klopp already has big plans to reshape the Real Madrid squad, and he will start by showing Vinicius Jr the door.

Vini is out of contract in 2027, and according to the report, Klopp wants to get rid of the winger in the summer of 2026 – to cash in a gigantic sum – and fill the void on the left wing with Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams.
The Spanish international has not found his full form this season, with only three goals so far. However, the report claims that Klopp believes he can transform Williams into a goal-producing machine, just like he did with Sadio Mané and Mohamed Salah.
But of greater importance to English fans is the claim that he also wants Newcastle’s midfielder, Bruno Guimarães.
After declaring “An organizing midfielder – Klopp’s second request”, the report added: “Klopp’s second wish to solve the problems that exist in Madrid will be the arrival of an organizing midfielder.
“And the player he likes the most is Bruno Guimarães.”

Newcastle’s plans for Bruno Guimarães
This news comes at a time when TEAMtalk reports that they have been informed that Newcastle are trying to tie down the Brazilian international in midfield to a new and improved contract. His existing deal lasts until 2028.
Guimarães is next in line for a contract renewal, after Sven Botman signed new terms on Tuesday.
Guimarães is actually Newcastle’s top scorer in the Premier League this season with eight goals so far, and as expected, Newcastle have no intention of parting ways with him in the near future.
If Newcastle manage to convince Guimarães to extend his stay at St. James’ Park, they will be in an exceptionally strong position to reject any offers coming from Madrid.
Of course, it is important to emphasize that as of now, Klopp is not the boss of Real Madrid, and the speculation that he is on his way to the Spanish capital is just that at the moment – speculation. Another candidate that is being written about a lot is Zinedine Zidane, who is basically waiting to become French national team manager. Few believe he will choose a third round as manager of Real Madrid.
