Manchester City are increasingly willing to sell a player Tottenham have previously bid for. If Spurs avoid relegation, a huge bid should be accepted, several media reports.
Tottenham’s transfer plans and the composition of the squad naturally depend almost entirely on the club avoiding relegation. A recent report from The Athletic mentions FIFTEEN big stars who are likely to disappear if Spurs are relegated. Tottenham must avoid that scenario at all costs.

Tudor or not – relegation must be avoided
Whether Spurs secure their place under Igor Tudor or another interim manager does not matter to Tottenham supporters.
And if Spurs retain their Premier League status, it will be a huge investment in the transfer market to avoid a repeat of this year’s disaster.
Most importantly, the club will also be aiming for far higher wages, which has previously held Spurs back in their pursuit of top players.
Savinho on the block
One position Tottenham must quickly reinforce is the wingers. Manchester City’s Savinho is a player they have bid for before.
Tottenham made an official bid for the 21-year-old Brazilian in the summer transfer window. According to Fabrizio Romano, they were even willing to go as high as €70 million / £60 million before Man City put a stop to the transfer.
Savinho ended up signing a new contract at the Etihad, but since then the season has not gone as he had hoped.
Savinho has been out with two separate injuries, and even when fit, he has only made five league appearances from the start.
He has also not started a single league game since Antoine Semenyo arrived in the winter window. Others who block regular playing time are Jeremy Doku, Rayan Cherki and Phil Foden.
Ready for sale
Now, Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke reports that Savinho’s new contract will NOT prevent him from leaving Man City if a suitable offer comes at the end of the season.
Man City are becoming increasingly willing to sell, with O’Rourke stating that a summer transfer is “increasingly likely”.
Tottenham – assuming they avoid relegation – should be ready to try Savinho again.
