Jack Grealish seems to have gotten the biggest hint that he doesn’t have a future at Manchester City.
In an update on his situation, it seems that Jack Grealish has received the clearest sign that he is no longer part of Manchester City’s plans.

Jack Grealish was brought in from Aston Villa for a club-record £100 million in 2021 and helped Manchester City win a historic treble in 2023. But his importance to the team has diminished in recent seasons, starting in just seven Premier League games last year.
Grealish still has two years left on his contract, which reportedly earns him £300,000 a week, but there has been a lot of speculation that he could leave the Etihad Stadium.
The chances of a summer departure seem to have increased after Matt Law of The Telegraph reported that Grealish is likely to be left out of City’s squad for the Club World Cup.
Manchester City are one of two English clubs set to take part in the reorganised 32-team tournament in the United States, where they will face Wydad AC, Al Ain and Juventus in Group G in June.
But Grealish is not expected to be part of the group leaving.
What has Pep Guardiola said about Jack Grealish’s future at Manchester City?
After apologizing for Grealish not getting much game time, Pep Guardiola was open about the possibility of Grealish finding new challenges after leaving him out of the squad for the final game of the season against Fulham.
During a press conference, Guardiola said:
“Of course Jack has to play. He is a fantastic player who should play football every three days. That didn’t happen this season, nor last season. He must do it, either with us or somewhere else.”
“It’s a question for Jack, his agent and the club. If he stays, it will be good, and he will fight – as he has done from day one – to contribute. But not today.”
“There’s nothing personal about Jack. I’m the one who fought to get him here, and the one who fought for him to stay this season. I’m the one who said I wanted Jack Grealish. What happens in the future is a question for Txiki (Begiristain), Hugo (Viana) and the agents.”
While there has been no official announcement about the squad, it is understood that all parties believe it is in the best interests of both Grealish and City that he does not play in the tournament.
The tournament can last for a month, which will make it more difficult to arrange a transfer – something that can already be complicated due to the transfer fee and salary.
Grealish has potential interested parties both in England and elsewhere, and it has even been suggested that a loan could suit him as he tries to work his way back into Thomas Tuchel’s England squad.
