The Premier League club writes on its website that Rodri traveled to Spain and was seen by specialists this week, after initial tests in Manchester.

In his home country, the serious knee injury was confirmed. The Spaniard suffered the injury early in Sunday’s 2-2 draw against Arsenal.
The club further writes that it is still uncertain how long Rodri will be out, but as a rule a torn cruciate ligament means that the rest of the season ends.
Rodri has been a key player for Pep Guardiola’s side who have won four straight Premier League titles, and were also European champions with Spain this summer.
The 28-year-old is among the biggest favorites to win the Ballon d’Or for the 2023/24 season when it is awarded on 28 October.
