Jack Grealish could be “saved” by the season’s big surprise club Nottingham Forest this summer.
Manchester City set a Premier League record in August 2021 when they paid a whopping €117.5 million to sign Jack Grealish from his childhood club Aston Villa. Since then, the winger has made 155 appearances for Manchester City, but with just 17 goals and 23 assists. – Far below what everyone expected.

Grealish has achieved his goal of winning major trophies, with three Premier League titles, the Champions League and FA Cup among others. The England international was also happy to play a full 90 minutes in the Champions League final win over Inter Milan.
But Jack Grealish has never quite lived up to the huge price tag, and in recent months has had limited playing time.
Grealish could leave the Etihad this summer
According to CaughtOffside, Grealish could be “the big transfer shock of the summer”, with “several Premier League clubs” looking for him.
Although Manchester City invested heavily in him, he is no longer “inalienable” for Pep Guardiola’s team.
Nottingham Forest have emerged as “surprising” candidates for Grealish. Nuno Espírito Santos’ side see the 29-year-old as a “signature buy” who can lift their attack – especially if they qualify for the Champions League.

That would be a bold move by Forest, who as recently as last season were battling relegation.
But Grealish may be tempted by a transfer, as Forest have a proud history and could potentially offer Champions League football next season.
The club has learned that Manchester City will “consider offers” of around €50 million
Thus, City are willing to take a loss of at least €67.5 million for the left winger, who turns 30 in September and has struggled to secure a place in the starting line-up.
Forest, Spurs and Newcastle in battle for Grealish
The report adds that Forest will have to fight with Tottenham and Newcastle to secure Grealish, as these two clubs are showing the strongest interest.
The winger has also been linked with a fairytale return to his childhood club Aston Villa as everyone including Grealish has been impressed by what Unai Emery has achieved with the club. West Ham United are considered “outsiders” in the hunt.
Tottenham have previously been mentioned as the “favourites” to sign him, as they are looking for a replacement for Son Heung-min on the left wing.
