Here, the 22-year-old has played all 15 league games, the contact with United is still close.

“I regularly talk to my goalkeeper coach from Manchester United, who has come here to watch my games, and I have a dialogue with them. I know they’re watching me and I really appreciate that I’m not just the guy who gets forgotten or something,” he said in an interview with Sky Sports.

United’s continued strong interest in the 22-year-old also shows great potential in the almost two-metre tall Czech goalkeeper.

Vitek dreams of breaking through at Manchester United, but he is also aware of the realities.

“In the long term, of course, I would like to play for Manchester United one day, but I am also realistic and I know that my path can also lead somewhere else,” concludes the goalkeeper who is working his way forward every day, one potential step closer to Old Trafford.
