Now things seem to be starting to happen around a transfer – despite earlier reports that the Dane will not be moving. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Hojlund’s advisors are now in talks with Napoli. Napoli are also said to have established contact with United.
Hojlund is said to be open to a move to Napoli, but at the same time has a requirement that it should not just be a simple loan, as he also wants a purchase option in the deal. This is so that there can be more certainty about his future. The requirement is also said to apply to all clubs. – In addition, if it is outside the Premier League, he demands that it be compensated by him getting the loan payment on top of his €4 million salary. – It could quickly be about an extra million euros.
Other interested parties are reported to be Fulham, RB Leipzig and Milan.
The Dane is currently on a contract with United until the summer of 2028. The striker joined from Atalanta in 2023 and has since scored 26 goals and provided six assists in 95 appearances.
