Manchester United have been made aware of the transfer fee required to bring Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig to Old Trafford in the January window. This means that INEOS only needs to increase its initial bid by €10 million to seal a deal for the winger.

Diomande has established himself as one of Europe’s best young wingers, which has piqued Manchester United’s interest. Although Ruben Amorim is no longer the manager of Manchester United, the club’s co-owners, INEOS, are continuing their quest to sign the Ivorian international.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported that Manchester United are “absolutely crazy” to sign Diomande, who has scored seven goals and provided four assists in 16 appearances for Leipzig so far this season.

On January 5, AfricaFoot reported that Manchester United have “bid RB Leipzig €90 million” for Diomande.

The report claimed that Leipzig has even given Manchester United permission to discuss contract details with the winger’s representatives.

This claim has not been confirmed by other sources, but CaughtOffSide wrote yesterday that the transfer fee Manchester United must pay Leipzig for Diomande.

RB Leipzig are not actively looking to sell Diomande in the middle of the season, but should that happen, the demand is 100 million euros.

In other words, Manchester United only need to increase their offer by €10 million (£8.7 million, $11.6 million) to seal a deal for the teenage winger in mid-season and make him their first major signing in the January 2026 transfer window.

Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona are also keeping an eye on Diomande, who currently plays for Ivory Coast in the Africa Cup of Nations.
