Since Manchester United boss Ratcliffe and the United management changed their minds four months after they had slapped Erik ten Hag in as the long-term solution, the club has had to pay around £21 million to sack Ten Hag and buy Amorim free. So far, this has given United a drop from 14th to 15th place in the Premier League table. There have started to be reports that Amorim is now at risk of being fired, Stan Collymore thinks this will not be the case, the challenge is to keep Amorim.

Heavily squeezed finances that are governed by rules for profitable and sustainable club operations. The dismissal of 250 employees in the club, probably up to 200 new positions, will be removed. Sir Alex Ferguson was removed from the payroll as the club’s ambassador. The entire scout department is being redone. The sporting director, who is supposed to be the United coach’s close contact, will be sacked after 159 days. This is one of the things that Ruben Amorim has to see himself and the United players affected by.

Former Premier League striker Stan Collymore is convinced Amorim is the right coach for United, but believes the job lies in persuading the Portuguese not to leave.

“For Man United, they have the right coach, but instead of sacking him, it could be a case of him having had enough and going back to Portugal,” Collymore told CaughtOffside.

-Mourinho was clear about what is wrong at Old Trafford. Erik ten Hag said it, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said it. Every Man United manager in the last seven or eight years has said that, and they were good. That is the concern. I’m not worried about Man United sacking Ruben Amorim, but my concern is that Ruben Amorim moves on from Man United.”

“As has been said on many previous occasions, it’s not a five-minute job at Old Trafford. Clubs have to stop this way of working because of pressure from supporters and elsewhere. Give the man the tools to do the job and time to get things right, and then the results should follow, Collymore concludes.
