Manchester United supporters have been hurting to follow “their” McTominay with his huge success outside Old Trafford, already from the first game in Serie A last season as Player of the Year in the Italian league. It hasn’t gotten any better when Scotsman Ole Gunnar Solskjaer described as very important for Manchester United, this week is linked to a surprise return to the Premier League, where United supporters risk meeting all of In-McTominay at one of the Premier League rivals. Now comes a reassuring message about the Scotsman.

Earlier in the week, Sky Sports claimed that the midfielder, despite his success, will find life off the pitch more challenging than on the pitch, which has sparked speculation that he may consider a return to English football sooner rather than later. McTominay finds the overwhelming passion of Napoli’s fan base increasingly difficult to handle. Despite being loved in the city, the constant public attention and limited personal freedom have left their mark, it is reported. This has led several Premier League clubs to monitor his situation closely ahead of next summer’s transfer window.

According to Sky Sports, McTominay’s representatives have now strongly dismissed rumours of a possible comeback in the English Premier League, assuring that he is very happy at Napoli. In fact, so pleased that a contract extension will be discussed in the next few months.

Tottenham are looking for reinforcements in midfield and have been the Premier League club closest to McTominay. Now it looks like United supporters won’t have to see the whole United side of McTominay show up at Old Trafford in the Spurs shirt.
