In January, Juventus chased the striker coach Thiago Motta had had success with at Bologna. The Serie A giant was unable to manoeuvre his way to the signing of Joshua Zirkzee, the Dutchman remained at Old Trafford. This does not mean that Juve have given up. A swap is planned, reports Italian media.
In January, rumours surfaced that Juventus and Manchester United were looking at options for a swap, with Zirkzee going to Turin, while Vlahovic went to Old Trafford. That was with the rumours. According to Turin newspaper Tuttosport, another swap between Manchester United and Juventus is open this summer.
The United management is said to be interested in Brazilian Douglas Luiz, who with his 175 Premier League appearances for Aston Villa (20 goals and 18 assists), showed he thrives in the world’s toughest league. The Italian media claims that Juve is now planning a swap deal with Zirkzee (market value €42 million) and Luiz (market value €45 million).
Luiz was brought to Serie A last summer, so far the 26-year-old has made 20 appearances in the zebra shirt.
