Manchester United will go after Bayer Leverkusen’s Patrik Schick if they can’t get their hands on Ipswich Town’s goal thief Liam Delap.
The Red Devils are desperately looking for a new striker this summer. Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee have not delivered, and manager Ruben Amorim has made it clear that the team needs a reliable goalscorer.

Matheus Cunha is on his way to Old Trafford to bolster his attack, but the Brazilian is seen as a 10 by Amorim. Despite the staggering €73 million transfer fee for Cunha, financially strapped Man Utd will also want to bring in a traditional centre-forward.
Ipswich star Liam Delap is the club’s first choice for that position, as he is Premier League experienced and affordable – with a relegation clause that lowers the price to just €35 million.
But Man Utd are far from the only club interested in the 22-year-old. Chelsea are considered the favourites to secure Delap, who prioritises European qualification when choosing his next club.
Schick as plan B
According to GIVEMESPORT, Man Utd could turn to Bayer Leverkusen’s Patrik Schick if they can’t get hold of Delap.
United’s interest in the Czech international has been known for a few weeks, after German media revealed that recreation manager Christopher Vivell had made contact with Schick.
The 29-year-old doesn’t really fit into United’s new profile focus on younger players, but there is an acceptance that he could be a reliable bargain as he wants to leave Leverkusen this summer.
Schick has a strained relationship with head coach Xabi Alonso, and even the Spaniard’s presumed departure to Real Madrid is not expected to be enough to persuade the striker to stay.

It is claimed that Man Utd “admire” Schick’s goal record, after he has scored consistently despite not being a regular in the team under Alonso. He has 25 goals in 42 games this season, with only 25 of them starting.
Schick can cost up to €30 million, making him significantly cheaper than some of the younger, more high-profile options on United’s radar.
