The 20-year-old right winger came to Lecce very cheaply from FC Nordsjælland’s youth venture last summer. Patrick Dorgu, who was bought for 200,000 euros, is valued by Transfermarkt at 12 million euros.

We already know that Manchester United are keeping an eye on the situation of Andreas Christensen at Barcelona, Kasper Dolberg at Anderlecht and of course Morten Hjulmand who was a big favourite for manager Rúben Amorim at Sporting.

It is reasonably clear that Patrick Dorgu is ready for something bigger. Lecce will not climb high enough in the Serie A table this year to secure games in Europe. – The 20-year-old dreams of the Champions League and that is no advantage for Manchester United.

Patrick Dorgu will be more tempted by Chelsea who, after turning things around this season, are fighting high up the table.

Manchester United are not going to sit still going forward, although 27.7% owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has signalled they will put the brakes on their budgets under Erik ten Hag. Among other things, they have asked for a meeting with Alphonso Davies.

Alphonso Davies’ future at Bayern Munich has long been a big topic at the southern German club. The 24-year-old Canadian’s contract expires in the summer, and he is alternately reported to be close to contract extension and close to exit from Bayern.
