Diomande is said to be the top candidate to be the long-term replacement of superstar Salah on the right wing, the perfect type of player for Liverpool’s system. Liverpool are expected to make a formal approach to RB Leipzig in the coming months. Then came reports that the gang at Old Trafford has also set their sights on Diomande.

According to the Manchester Evening News , United are going big on signing a new left winger, with Yan Diomande (playing on both the right and left) on the wish list. United have been keeping a close eye on the 19-year-old’s development this season, with RB Leipzig expected to exit this summer, with the German club demanding €100m to release the super-talent, but the local newspaper in Manchester claims the 19-year-old will be sold for an amount well below that.
According to Sky Sport journalist-Sacha Tavolieri, United have already had a private meeting with representatives associated with the player, signalling early intentions ahead of what could be a major signing battle between arch-rivals, with Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Tottenham also interested.
