Rashford available for exit this month after falling out of favor under Ruben Amorim.

AC Milan have made a formal bid to sign Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford on loan. Due to the high cost of a permanent sale, a number of clubs across Europe will make loan proposals.

Athletic writes Rashford’s agents flew to Milan on Tuesday for negotiations with the Serie A club, and that was soon followed by Gianluca Di Marzio’s claim that Milan have made a formal offer.

AC Milan have reportedly offered to take Rashford on a first loan as part of a deal that would give them the option to sign him permanently at the end of the season – a format that United could be tempted by at the right price.

The biggest problem in the negotiations is Rashford’s gigantic wages, which are believed to be well over £300,000 per week. Such a figure is unattainable almost anywhere else but at Old Trafford. Manchester United to agree to cover a significant share as part of any deal.

That is likely to be the case with other suitors, including Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund, who are believed to be looking at a direct loan for Rashford without a permanent transfer clause.
