On Wednesday morning, Marcus Rashford’s agent was spotted talking to Barcelona’s sporting director Deco at a hotel in Barcelona.

Spanish journalist Toni Juanmartí from Sport has documented the meeting with exclusive photos of the agent at the hotel.
According to Juanmartí, Barcelona are having trouble securing first qualifier Luis Díaz from Liverpool, and have therefore turned their attention to Manchester United’s English star as an alternative.
£40 million in demands
Transfer expert Fabrizrizio Romano reports that United are demanding around £40 million for Rashford. Barcelona, however, prefer a loan deal with an option to buy, but Manchester United have so far rejected that.
Leao also on the radar
AC Milan’s Portuguese star Rafael Leao has also been mentioned as a potential target for the Catalan club, which shows that Barcelona are actively exploring more options to bolster their attacking line.
The situation shows that Barcelona must have backup plans ready as they continue negotiations for the first-qualifier Díaz.
