Of course, they need time off after putting behind them the worst Manchester United season for as long as the Premier League has been the Premier League.

The Times writes that several of the Manchester United players are furious that they had to travel to Asia so soon after the season rather than be able to spend time with their families.

Four days later, on May 25, United played their last competitive game of the season. There was a victory, 2-0, in the meaningless game at home against Aston Villa. (certainly not pointless for Aston Villa)
Just three days later, a match against the Asean All-Stars in Malaysia awaited, followed by today’s match against Hong Kong in Hong Kong.
The fact that the United players were forced to travel to East and Southeast Asia for two meaningless friendlies right after the season was not well received by the squad. Several players are furious about the trip.
The newspaper further writes that the club insists that the players understand why they had to attend the tour, which according to The Times brings in about 10 million euros.
Privately, however, most of the players have told the Times’ sources that they are furious about being dragged to East and Southeast Asia for a period of time they could have spent with their families on vacation.
