Manchester United met in February with the English profile’s people.
Manchester United have undergone a significant upswing this spring under Michael Carrick, but the club is also preparing for the future. Manchester United are currently in 3rd place in the Premier League, while Everton, who have stabilised at a higher level under David Moyes’ leadership, are in 8th place.

Here you look at the defense, among other things. This is revealed by transfer journalist Ben Jacobs to club media The United Stand.
Specifically, Manchester United held a meeting with English defender Jarrad Branthwaite from Everton’s back office back in February.
And at that meeting, the England international reiterated that he is interested in a move to Old Trafford.
However, Ben Jacobs also reports that Manchester United – due to the prospect of an extension with star defender Harry Maguire – could be patient and wait to go for Jarrad Branthwaite until next summer, i.e. the summer of 2027.
However, it won’t be cheap, no matter what. Back in the summer of 2024, Manchester United reportedly bid in the region of €60 million for the English stopper, but it was rejected by Everton, who wanted around €80 million. What they are demanding now is not known.
23-year-old Jarrad Branthwaite is listed with one England cap and has missed much of this season due to injury. However, he has returned for Everton, where he has played a total of 94 games.
