Now, to the long list of achievements, she can add setting the record for the most wins in the World Cup. On March 11, 2023, she won a record 87th time. Shiffrin has 87 wins in 246 World Cup events.
Mikaela Shiffrin scored her 87th World Cup win when she won the slalom competition in Are, Sweden. Interestingly, Shiffrin scored her first World Cup victory ever in the same place and in the same competition. It was in 2012. In her 87th triumph, Shiffrin was best in the first downhill with a time of 50.93. The American overtook Anna Swenn Larsson in 51.62 and Wendy Holdener in 51.87. In the second downhill she had the fifth fastest time, but it was enough to win. The American’s total time was 1:41.77.
