Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard’s last coaching assignment was at Saudi Al-Ettifaq. The Englishman was fired this winter and has been unemployed ever since. Now the Telegraph reports that Gerrard is physically and mentally ready for a new job, which will mean a return to familiar ground.
The British newspaper states that Gerrard is on Rangers’ list of potential managers for next season. The club’s former manager Philippe Clement was forced to leave the position this winter and was replaced by interim manager Barry Fergusson.
Rangers have once again fallen behind Celtic this season, hoping a new manager will make them stronger in the hunt for trophies next year.
