On Monday, the “bomb” came. Jürgen Klopp will be linked to the biggest jobs as long as the coaching legend hasn’t made a final never-again-back-as-coach statement. The “bomb”, was Klopp’s agent, who decided to give the world insight into how sought-after his client still is. This caused a real jaw-dropping among both Liverpool supporters and Manchester United supporters. A few hours later, the Man Utd management came out with a response.
The statement in question was agent Mark Kosicke’s description of the influx from unnamed and named clubs after Klopp’s exit from Liverpool in the summer of 2024.

“Before he started at Red Bull, he could have coached the USA or England – maybe even Germany as well, if Julius Nagelsmann hadn’t been there. Even Chelsea and Manchester United approached him, the agent says according to Transfermarkt.
Even Manchester United.
Kosic added that Klopp is not interested in managing clubs other than Liverpool in England anyway, but for the supporters of arch-rivals Liverpool and Manchester United, this came as a shock.
For Liverpool supporters, just the thought of Klopp wearing the Man Utd logo on his cap sent shivers through his body. For Man Utd supporters, it was completely inexplicable that their club management had invited Klopp in, after having given United so much sporting suffering as manager of their arch-rival.
