Manchester City have identified Real Madrid striker Rodrygo as a potential replacement for Savinho.
According to recent reports, Tottenham Hotspur are in talks with Manchester City over a permanent transfer for Savinho, who is open to the possibility of joining Thomas Frank’s team.

Tottenham have reportedly made an offer of €50 million to Manchester City, but they want more money and will only be willing to sell the 21-year-old Brazilian international if their valuation is met.
Tottenham’s ambitious pursuit of Savinho comes as a surprise, as the winger only joined Manchester City last summer from sister club Troyes for a starting fee of £21m after a successful loan spell at Girona.
Savinho, who recorded three goals and 13 assists in 48 appearances for Manchester City last season, still has four years left on his contract at the Etihad Stadium, but he could be on his way out before the summer transfer window closes on September 1.
Manchester City are considering expensive signing of Rodrygo before the transfer deadline
Meanwhile, Manchester City have reportedly agreed to loan Jack Grealish, who has fallen out of the role of favourite, to Everton. They will have a £50 million purchase option for the 29-year-old in the summer of 2026, while James McAtee is closing in on a permanent move to Nottingham Forest.
With all three of these players expected to complete transfers away from the club, journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that Pep Guardiola’s side are considering an expensive purchase of Real Madrid’s Rodrygo.
Romano adds that Manchester City see the 24-year-old as a “dream target” and that Guardiola is a “big fan” of the versatile Brazilian attacker.
Real Madrid will let Rodrygo leave if the player wants to, but Manchester City will have to pay €100 million to secure his services this summer.

Premier League transfer could be on the cards for Rodrygo this summer
Rodrygo has been heavily linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabéu this summer after falling out of the favoured role of former head coach Carlo Ancelotti at the end of last season.
Real Madrid’s No. 11 also got just 92 minutes in six games during the FIFA Club World Cup earlier this summer under new manager Xabi Alonso, with the likes of Vinícius Júnior, Kylian Mbappé and new star Gonzalo García being preferred in attack.
A potential move to the Premier League for Rodrygo, who has scored 68 goals in 270 appearances for Real Madrid since joining in 2019, has been discussed for some time. Reigning champions Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are among those who have reportedly shown interest in him.
Tottenham will apparently cool their interest in Rodrygo if they sign Savinho, while it is believed that Liverpool are currently prioritising a record purchase for Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak.
Arsenal, on the other hand, could be considered Manchester City’s biggest threat in the race for Rodrygo, but it is understood that the Gunners will only go for the striker if he becomes available on loan this summer.
