AIK under the leadership of sporting director Thomas Berntsen has shaken off the problems and stabilized high up in Allsvenskan.

This season there were 11 points up to the league gold and although it is early to predict next season, it looks promising.

AIK is now, according to Nettavisen, negotiating with Brann about Bård Finne. – The 29-year-old returned to his youth club Brann three years ago after playing in both German and Danish football. A huge bid has just been received for Cypriot striker Ioannis Pittas, who is probably too difficult to refuse. Rumours have it that the bid is between 3.5 and 4 million euros, while Bård Finne could be bought out for about 1 million euros.

Finne played 28 games for Brann last year, but was relegated to a substitute role this autumn. Now he and the club are ready to go their separate ways.

The 29-year-old has two years left on his contract with Brann, but is open to new challenges and sees AIK as “an attractive step”.

Talks between the clubs are said to have taken place this winter. Finn is also injured at the moment and not in full training with Brann. However, AIK sees him as an alternative in the hunt for reinforcements this winter.

The Norwegian has a background from playing in the Bundesliga for FC Köln between 2014 and 2016. He then played for Heidenheim for a year before returning home to Norway. In 2021, Finne returned to Brann after stints in Vålerenga and Sönderjyske.
