Without wins in the last four games. 11th place in the Championship. Now Neil Harris is stepping down as coach after an agreement with the club, but has decided to miss the last two games.

We are used to “being fired (or resigning) with immediate effect”. At Milwall, there are clearly more orderly conditions.

Milwall reports that the decision to quit the coaching job is Harris’ own wish. The coach has led Milwall since February, between 2013 and 2019 Harris led Milwall in two rounds.

Now Millwall are chasing a replacement, while Harris will have the opportunity on Wednesday against Sheffield United and Saturday away against Middelsbrough to say a dignified farewell to the supporters.
