The Newcastle United star has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield this summer.
Liverpool have received a MASSIVE boost in their pursuit of Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak. Just weeks after winning the Premier League in his first season as Liverpool manager, Arne Slot has not taken his foot off the gas. He has been busy securing big signings for the squad next season.

Right-back Jeremie Frimpong became Liverpool’s first signing as a replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold, while his former Bayer Leverkusen teammate Florian Wirtz followed suit in a Premier League record deal a few days later.
Liverpool in a tough race for Isak
Reports have suggested that Liverpool will now focus on deals for Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez – who is expected to sign in the next few days – and Crystal Palace stopper Marc Guehi.
But it looks like Liverpool won’t stop there. A new report reveals that they may be ready to step up their pursuit of top goal Isak considerably.
Alexander Isak scored 26 goals and provided six assists in 42 appearances in all competitions this season.
Key report changes the game
Before the transfer window opened earlier this month, it was widely reported that Liverpool would be looking for a new striker to replace Darwin Núñez, who is expected to leave the club this summer.
Despite links to players such as João Pedro, Hugo Ekitike and Julián Álvarez, Newcastle superstar Isak is obviously Liverpool’s dream signing – although a deal is believed to be both difficult and costly.
Having already spent nearly £200 million on Frimpong, Wirtz and the expected signing of Kerkez, many believed that Liverpool could no longer spend the money required to sign Isak without breaching the Premier League’s financial regulations.
But a new report from The Times reveals that this is not the case. In fact, Liverpool are a long way from breaking the regulations and have the means to test Newcastle’s willingness to sell.
And Newcastle are fully aware of this. According to the report, they are very concerned that Liverpool could submit a bid for their star strikers as early as the beginning of July.
This could potentially shake up the entire transfer window – and give Arne Slot the ultimate attacking weapon to defend the championship.
