Sky Germany reports that Loris Karius is ready to extend his contract with Schalke 04 next week.
A new deal is reportedly in the works that will bind the experienced goalkeeper to Veltins-Arena until 2027.
Schalke’s management should be pleased with both Karius’ performance and mentality, and value his experience highly.
After impressing in his first four games for the club, the decision has now been made to tie him down to a longer deal. The formal signing is scheduled to take place on Wednesday.
With Karius’ upcoming contract extension, Schalke clearly show that they value stability in the goalkeeper position. The former Liverpool player has clearly settled in at Gelsenkirchen, and the club sees him as an important piece in the years to come.
