While many clubs are expected to be active in the window, Liverpool could be the busiest, as manager Arne Slot looks to bolster the squad after a strong first season as manager.

Newcastle striker Alexander Isak is said to be at the top of Slot’s wish list, and it has now been reported that Newcastle have selected two Liverpool players they want included in a potential deal for their attacking player.

With several of the world’s biggest clubs interested in Isak, Liverpool will likely have to pay a club record to secure his signature.

To reduce the price tag, “The Reds” could include one or more players in a swap – and Newcastle have now named their two wishes.

According to Give Me Sport, Liverpool could offer both Diogo Jota and Harvey Elliott as part of a deal to bring the Swedish star to Anfield before next season.

Liverpool have also reportedly considered other players in a swap, but Jota and Elliott are the most likely candidates, as Newcastle manager Eddie Howe is reportedly a big admirer of both.

Alexander Isak has scored a fantastic 19 goals in 25 Premier League games for Newcastle this season and is now in 3rd place on the Premier League’s top scorers list.

In the past, Joe Gomez and young defender Jarell Quansah were seen as the most likely candidates in a swap, as Newcastle have shown interest in the defensive pair in the past.

In-form striker Darwin Núñez has also been linked with a move to Newcastle, but according to the report, the Magpies are no longer interested in bringing the Uruguayan to St. James’ Park.

Although more deals will be considered this summer, Newcastle still hope they can keep hold of the 25-year-old Swedish superstar.
