This choice turned out to be the right one. The Champions League ticket was secured in the first full season, then a dip in performances last season, but back in full force this season. The League Cup title was finally brought home to St. James’ Park. Now a huge payout is ready for Howe, he just has to win a few more games first.

According to The Telegraph, Howe will personally collect £3 million if Newcastle qualify for the Champions League.
It doesn’t seem like the money has been the driving force for Howe, but with around £4 million being his annual salary, the bonus payment will be a solid holiday pay payment for the Newcastle manager.
