“It’s hard to say exactly (why there wasn’t a transfer). When a deal doesn’t go through, there are always several factors. Ultimately, everything has to fall into place for that to happen. The important thing here is that Benjamin’s wish for several years has been Manchester United. And for United, he was even willing to take a pay cut to make the transfer possible,” Basanovic said, according to the Daily Mail.
