The United supporters had barely sat down before Crystal Palace shockingly opened at Old Trafford. Three minutes into the game, it was 0-1 to Glasner’s Palace team. Would Michael Carrick suffer his first defeat, that at home and against “Amorim football”? No way!
The United players couldn’t find their rhythm in the first few minutes, Luke Shaw had to go off after twenty-three minutes with injury after a punch. Then Carrick’s men took control back. Several chances beyond the first half, but still without scoring until halftime.

After the break came the change. Lacroix had to prevent Matheus Cunha at the 16-yard line, which ended in a red card for the Frenchman, a penalty for United and a safe Bruno Fernandes from the penalty spot to draw 1-1.
Ten minutes later, Sesko soared, headed into the goal on a cross from the captain, for his 7th goal in 8 games and a 2-1 win for United against Palace.
Michael Carrick has really brought out more potential in this United squad. Now up to 3rd place in the Premier League ahead of Villa on goal difference, with Liverpool three points behind in 5th place.
