Those who follow Polish football closely are aware of the trouble that Slask Wroclaw finds themselves in at the very bottom of the Ekstraklasa.

After 21 games, Slask Wroclaw has only 14 points and a full 7 points up to the bottom safe place.

Sports director, Jørgen Bjørn, who is at a training camp with HamKam in Africa, explains that there is a fight for the striker spot in the Mjøs club as the reason why Henrik Udahl is paid out for the rest of the Polish season.

“There is tough competition for our two striker spots this season. Pål who looks younger than ever, a Gonstad who takes new steps every day, a bull from Flekkefjord and Moses on his way back in record time means that we are well shod in front. Behind there again, we also have a couple of young local national team players”

HamKam yesterday agreed with Polish club Slask Wroclaw on a loan deal until the summer for the 28-year-old striker Henrik Udahl. And after a visit to the doctor, an appointment was signed.

Slask Wroclaw writes that Henrik Udahl, who came to HamKam from Vålerenga two years ago, will get shirt number 25.

“We were looking for another player to strengthen our attacking line. Such a move was necessary, especially after our vice-captain, Jakub Świerczok, suffered a serious injury. Henrik Udahl fits the profile of our team and after analyzing the sports department and Ante Simundza’s coaching staff, we decided to bet on him. He is a strong player who has the ability to find a way to goal. Physically, he is well prepared, because after the Norwegian top league season ended in December, he worked through the entire preparation period at his previous club, and also played friendly matches. We hope that he will quickly and successfully fit into our team – says Rafał Grodzicki, sports director of Śląsk Wrocław to his own website.
