Here we are again. Six days of negotiations, arguing, signings and sales. If you thought it has seemed chaotic in the past when Manchester United enter the January window, then this tops most things. Several players have to be sent on loan/permanent transfer to make room for Amorim’s reinforcements, so far only Antony has brought a large part of his salary demand to La Liga. Now it is reported that the next player is on his way away – to the same club.
The 20-year-old Patrick Dorgu is now so close to signing that few believe it will stumble on the upside. With Lecce’s left-back in place at Amorim, this pushes Tyrell Malacia on loan.
The Dutchman was one of Ten Hag’s chosen ones, but has mostly been injured. In order to get playing time, Malacia will have to leave Manchester, Dorgu will have to be brought in to build up a new left side at United that masters Amorim football.
According to the Daily Mail, Real Betis have really taken a liking to Manchester United players after landing a loan deal with Antony in the squad. The English media reports that the La Liga club and Manuel Pellegrini are also on the move to secure Malacia for the season.
