Danish Bold called it a “sensational signing” for FC Nordsjælland, when they persuaded Ola Solbakken about the next club after Roma. The FCN director boasted a lot about the Norwegian when signing in August, but things have been slow for the former Bodø/Glimt star in the first few months on Danish turf. Now it is reported that the 27-year-old is on the right track.

Two goals in eleven games is the thinnest for a former Bodø/Glimt star in Danish football, but in Sunday’s game against Brøndby IF, Solbakken was close to getting on the scoresheet when he was played deep, but the final sharpness was missing, his shot went off target.

FC Nordsjælland coach Jens Fønsskov Olsen still sees the match as a plus from Solbakken.

“Ola has started to get to know our style now, and he has started to find the positions and relationships with the other players. In the beginning, he didn’t get that many opportunities, now he gets the opportunities. Let’s focus on that first, but I know he’s passionate about scoring that goal,” the FCN coach told Bold after the game.

Well on the way. Then we are betting that it will really loosen up for Solbakken.
