21-year-old Andreas Schjelderup is the ultimate “babyface” and could rightfully take over Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s nickname “babybafe assasin” in a few years if he continues as he does now. – The right winger, who started out at Bodø/Glimt, has had a rapid development since he joined the Danish Superliga club FC Nordsjaelland in the summer of 2020.
The Danes made a good profit (€9 million) from a sale to Benfica on the first day of 2023, but that’s nothing compared to what awaits the Portuguese club in the event of a further sale.

Transfermarkt has before Andreas Schjelderup showed himself in the Club World Cup by becoming a metch winner against Bayern Munich for 15 million euros. – In 40 degrees heat in the United States and with an assist from Fredrik Aursnes, the goal came that really put him on the map.
“It’s always nice to score, no matter if it’s 40 degrees. You always want to help win games,” Schjelderup wrote in a text message to TV 2. – If you can also see the goal that secured the group victory.
There is something bigger going on. Fabrizio Romano says that the ambitious Italian club Como, which is led by Cesc Fàbregas, has started negotiations for the Norwegian. The Serie A club is not alone in its interest, Benfica will naturally take advantage of that to get paid well. (something they have experience with)
Schjelderup himself has – most recently during the national team gathering earlier this month – been clear to TV 2 that he stands by his agreement with Benfica.
Still, the timing of his match-winning goal – considering a possible change of club – could hardly have been better. The goal was a perfect end to an extraordinarily special period for the young Norwegian.
Because the belief in Schjelderup is great, and now the equipment giant Adidas has also shown its trust.
After the Bayern match, Adidas shared a photo of the Benfica profile to their 35,5 million followers. Schjelderup reveals to TV 2 that he has just signed an agreement with the equipment supplier.
“I have spent a few years finding the right football boots, and am very happy to have signed for Adidas,” writes the young star.
