Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly “offered” Arsenal millions of euros for the services of centre-back William Saliba. An offer that is described as “difficult to refuse”.

Saliba has become a very important player for the club since joining in 2019. Although it took until 2022 for him to actually play for the Gunners, he has done so very consistently over three seasons now. – Apart from a sending off and subsequent ban, the Frenchman has not missed a single minute in either the Premier League or the Champions League this season.

Arsenal face Inter Milan at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Wednesday, probably without captain Martin Ødegaard, who is out with an ankle injury.

William Saliba was the first Edu brought to Emirates as Technical Director

But his position at the club is now threatened, with Fichajes reporting that PSG have “offered” €95 million for Saliba.

It is believed that his performances have not only caught the attention of the French giants, but also other major European clubs. The report suggests that the offer will be “hard to refuse” for Arsenal, but that they want to keep Saliba for a long time.

That PSG are keen to strengthen their defence is clear, with another report saying that they want to sign Barcelona’s Jules Konde. It has been stated that they are willing to offer 100 million for him as well.

If Arsenal are to lose the centre-back, it will come at a bad time for them.

In fact, it has been revealed that sporting director Edu – who also joined in July 2019 – is set to leave the club, and having two major assets depart at similar times will leave huge gaps that need to be filled at once.

Amid the news of Edu’s departure from the club, it is not yet known when he will actually leave.
